Boucle de la vallée de la Batiscan (Mékinac et Des Chenaux)
Presentation
This section of the Véloboucles covers almost all the municipalities in the area. The Batiscan River takes center stage, meandering its way to its mouth on the St. Lawrence. Must-sees on this loop are the lookouts in Shawinigan, the Grand-Mère sector for its view of the Saint-Maurice River, and the Saint-Adelphe sector for its view of the Batiscan River. The circuit also follows the river on the Chemin du Roy.
Low gradient in the Des Chenaux section. The section off the Route verte has no protective buffer zone. Suitable for cyclists used to riding in the presence of vehicles.
