Shawinigan River Park features a lovely picnic area and two easily accessible, free trails: a 6-km round-trip multi-use linear bike path and the Thibaudeau-Ricard Trail. This little natural gem offers the perfect getaway in any season. In the spring, admire the waterfalls as they come to life with the melting snow. In the summer, enjoy this ideal route for jogging, with a few gentle hills adding a pleasant challenge. Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy here. Then in winter, explore the carefully maintained cross-country ski trails. The Thibaudeau-Ricard Trail, which runs through the park, is well worth a visit as it’s steeped in history.
