Biophare

Located in the heart of Sorel-Tracy's Regard-sur-le-Fleuve park, the Biophare, a museum institution, presents exhibitions, nautical excursions, animations and guided tours that allow you to discover, in a surprising and original way, the multiple heritage dimensions of the territory of the Sorel-Tracy region, the Lac Saint-Pierre Biosphere Region and the St. Lawrence River.

In 2000, UNESCO recognized the territory as the Lac Saint-Pierre Biosphere Reserve, in recognition of its great biodiversity and the efforts made by communities to preserve and conserve this unique ecosystem.
