Presentation

The first day begins in the Anse-Saint-Jean ZEC before crossing the Lac-au-Sable ZEC. Winding through forest trails, challenging sandy sections, and numerous bodies of water, the route gradually leads from Saguenay toward Charlevoix, with a well-deserved rest stop in Clermont before tackling the mountains.

The first day combines long distances with challenging sandy sections in the Lac-au-Sable ZEC, which significantly slow down progress. Several gradual climbs also require careful pacing and hydration before the aid station in Clermont.
