Presentation

The final leg of the route connects Charlevoix to Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean by crossing the Zec du Lac-Brébeuf. This section mainly follows easier-to-ride forest trails and passes through an area dotted with lakes and rivers. After the more technical sections of the Zec des Martres, this segment offers a smoother ride to the end of the route.

The Zec des Martres is the most challenging section: long, steady climbs, rocky terrain, and technical sections where you sometimes have to push your bike. The descent toward the Malbaie River also features several large rocks. The trail then becomes smoother in the Zec Lac-Brébeuf.
