The nearly 360 km-long cycling route passes through some of the wildest landscapes on the Côte-Nord. Following Route 138, often with paved shoulders, cyclists follow the St. Lawrence River, discovering isolated villages, beaches, rivers and boreal forests. This section of the Véloroute des Baleines is a challenge for adventure-seekers in search of authenticity, with few services but grandiose panoramas and total immersion in North Shore nature.

The entire route is asphalted, with the exception of the few kilometers remaining to the finish at Kegaska. Elevation 1462 m.
