The Route des Navigateurs unveils the richness of the south shore of the St. Lawrence, in Bécancour. Following Route 132, it links the Saint-Angèle-de-Laval and Gentilly areas, while leading to the municipalities of Saint-Pierre-les-Becquets and Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent. It is also a gateway to the Chaudière-Appalaches region. With its river landscapes, heritage and charming ports of call, the Route des Navigateurs offers cyclists a unique experience, combining nature and cultural discoveries.
The route is mostly asphalt, with a rolling profile and a few climbs in the second half. Moderate elevation gain (220 m). Accessible to intermediate cyclists, with short unpaved sections.

Bécancour

The Jardin des Lilas de Bécancour, located behind the town hall, is home to around 70 varieties of lilac, perennial beds, sculptures and poems. A small bridge overhangs the stream, providing a peaceful setting ideal for a stroll or picnic.

Located in Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent, this rest area offers a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River. It features a lookout, picnic tables and a picturesque lighthouse. Ideal for a break en route.
