Located on the banks of the Rivière des Mille-Îles, Île-des-Moulins is the original site of a magnificent seigniory. Numerous exhibitions, interpretive activities and events on the history of Terrebonne and the surrounding region highlight this enchanting site. A popular destination, Île-des-Moulins hosts dozens of events each year, including the Vins et Histoire de Terrebonne Festival, Le Grand Concert and Le Marché de Noël. Île-des-Moulins was declared a historic site by the Ministère des Affaires culturelles du Québec in 1973.
