Presentation
Visit the Cité de l'énergie and discover the century-old Shawinigan-2 power station, built in 1910 on the site of the Saint-Maurice Falls. It's Hydro-Québec's oldest operating power station. Take the opportunity to explore the former N.A.C. power station and the permanent exhibition, all at the heart of the Mauricie region's hydroelectric history. The tour of the hydroelectric sector is offered free of charge by Hydro-Québec, during Cité de l'énergie opening hours. You must register at the Cité ticket office to obtain transportation and access to Shawinigan-2. Photo ID required for those aged 18 and over. Open out of season, subject to reservations.
