Insectarium – Espace pour la vie

Insectarium de Montréal has created an intimate, multi-sensory tour that encourages visitors to redefine their relationship to insects. By descending into the Alcoves, galleries inspired by insect habitats, visitors see the world at the scale of millimeters and centimeters, with floor vibrations, kaleidoscopic projections and other sensory stimuli allowing them to experience this world. Then, insect enthusiasts continue their journey at the Dome where they can take in the extraordinary beauty and great diversity of insects. The journey ends at the Great Vivarium, a place bathed in natural light, where an enthralling encounter with a lively community of hundreds of living insects, including free-flying butterflies, awaits.
