Learn about panning, an age-old gold mining technique and discover the fascinating history of the site and those who worked there from 1862 to 1960. A mineral exhibit wall explains the rock formation, mineral and gold in the Earth ground. Take the marked pathway, via a suspended footbridge, to access the abandoned gold mine.
