Starting in Scotstown, the Gravelée des Sommets takes you quickly up gravel roads that wind through fields, forests and hills. The climbs reveal vast panoramas of the surrounding mountains. A first day punctuated by effort, landscapes and welcoming villages, ending at the peaceful Mont Ham campsite.

The route moves into wilder territory. Gravel roads wind through vast forests and past tranquil lakes, where nature dominates. The relief is reminiscent of the region's mountainous character, but each climb rewards cyclists with views of the magnificent Appalachians.

The last stage of this great loop: the mountain roads challenge you. Between climbs, viewpoints and total wilderness, villages gradually reappear as you approach Lac-Mégantic. A final stop at the Marécage des Scots offers a fitting end to this gravelly adventure in Quebec.
