A fixture in the Faubourg Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighborhood since 1992, Le Sacrilège is a neighborhood bar in the heart of Rue Saint-Jean, just a few minutes’ walk from Old Quebec. Its signature feature: an inner courtyard hidden behind the bar, open-air and shaded by tall trees in the summer, then covered and heated from November through May under the winter garden—a wooden lattice structure that won a 2023 CECOBOIS Award of Excellence. They serve Quebec beers on tap, and their “bring your own lunch” policy lets you bring food from a nearby restaurant. Weekly schedule: chess tournament on Mondays, running club on Tuesdays, karaoke on Wednesdays, music trivia on Thursdays. Certified “Bienvenue cyclistes!” establishment. Ages 18 and up.
Restaurants and food services participating in the Bienvenue Cyclistes! program provide passing cyclists with water, restrooms, a first aid kit, and information about the surrounding area. They also commit to offering the following adapted services
