Take the Shelter Bay Heritage Trail and discover the places, people and events that have shaped the history of Port-Cartier since its origins in 1915, through a series of interpretive panels. Whether on foot, by bike or by car, alone or in conjunction with a visit to the Centre d'interprétation de l'histoire de Port-Cartier, you'll relive the transformation of the former logging village of Shelter Bay, which became Port-Cartier in 1959. A free map of the circuit is available at the tourist information office and on the town's website (villeport-cartier.com) to guide you around the area.
