Following the Route verte and the Trans Canada Trail, the 235 km between Montreal and Sherbrooke will give you a whole new perspective on the Montérégie and Eastern Townships. With numerous gourmet stops, cultural, historical and outdoor attractions, and accommodation to suit all budgets, you can discover the Véloroute at your own pace, safely and always with fun in mind! Mostly on 60% asphalt cycle paths, this route begins in the Montérégie region, with no significant changes in altitude for the first two sections. Once you've reached the Eastern Townships, around Eastman, you'll encounter a bit of elevation change without needing to be an expert.

Be impressed by the scale of this magnificent and once strategic site. From the first wood fort built by the soldiers of the Carignan-Salières Regiment in 1665 to the departure of the English troops in the middle of the 19th century, the site comes alive showing the pace of the life of the soldiers.
